I’ve made a lot of cookies over the past almost five years of being vegan. No seriously, a lot. And I’ve enjoyed most of them, after all, what’s not to love about cookies? I’m not usually loyal to one recipe because I often crave cookies, and I’ll just find a recipe that utilizes whatever ingredients I have available.
But recently I found a recipe for the best vegan chocolate chip cookies ever. They taste just like the best non-vegan chocolate chip cookies I had growing up, you know the kind, the ones that are a little crispy on the outside, gooier in the middle, perfectly sweet and amazing. (I also made them for my birthday earlier this year.)
The recipe says it makes 24 cookies, but last time I made them, I made 15 giant cookies instead, and cooked them a little longer (14 minutes) and they came out so perfect. My husband and I could not stop eating them, and they instantly put smiles on our faces. Seriously though, if you love cookies you need to try these.

Note: These cookies are not gluten free or oil free, they’re made with classic ingredients like brown sugar, vegan butter, and regular flour. If you’re looking for gluten free oil free cookies, check out my Magical Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe or The Vegan 8’s Best Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies, both are delicious.
PS–This post is not sponsored or anything like that, I do not know Nora Cooks. I just found the recipe on Pinterest and wanted to share and spread the cookie love!
