Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (Auburn)–This is the brow pencil I’ve been using since I went vegan in 2015–I love it/I’ve repurchased it multiple times and already have a new one. I may try out some other brow pencils next though because there are some less expensive options I want to try.
Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray (Travel size)–I really like the glowly look of this setting spray and would purchase it again, but for now I ordered Cover FX’s new Dewy Finish Setting Spray because I’m curious to see how it compares.
Cover FX Total Cover Cream Foundation (N20)–I’ve gone through another one of these since my last empties post. I’m debating on purchasing it again because though I still like it a lot, I’ve been going for more medium coverage foundation looks lately. It is very convenient for travel though, and I’m going on a trip later this month so I may go ahead and get another one.
Derma E Hydrating Serum— I liked this serum enough to use it up, but I probably won’t repurchase it since I didn’t really notice any major improvements to my skin.
Evolv H Conditioner–Lucas and I like this one so much that we re-purchased both the shampoo and conditioner in the jumbo sizes. I mentioned it in my April Favorites post too if you missed it.
Herbivore Botanicals Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme (Travel size)– I liked this moisturizer so much I ordered the full size before I ran out. Check out my review for more of my thoughts on it.
Lush Lip Scrub (Chocolate)— This lip scrub smells and tastes so good, and I’d definitely purchase it again, though I may mix it up and try a different flavor next.
Osea Malibu Essential Hydrating Oil (Travel size)– I wasn’t a fan of the roller ball applicator of this oil–it was hard to get much oil out of it, and I wasn’t wowed enough to overlook that and buy it again–I did like the essential oil smell of it though.
Osea Malibu Ocean Cleansing Milk (Travel size)– I liked this cleanser–it’s perfect as a gentle face wash in the morning, it’s enough to make my skin feel clean without feeling stripping at all. (It doesn’t really lather/it kind of reminds me of when I used to wash my face with Cetaphil but a natural/cruelty free version.) It claims to remove makeup though, and when I tried that, it didn’t remove my makeup at all–it just smeared eyeliner and mascara all over my face. I haven’t repurchased it yet because I want to try some other products, but I would definitely consider buying it again.
Osea Malibu Sea Vitamin Boost (Travel Size)–At first I wasn’t that impressed with this facial spray, but it grew on me after using it for a while, and I may purchase it again, though I’m using the Herbivore Rose Face Mist lately instead.
Schmidt’s Earth+Wood Stick Deodorant & Lavender Sage Deodorant Jar— I really enjoyed the woodsy scent of the Earth+Wood stick deodorant (and I love Schmidt’s in general), but it was limited edition and now it’s gone. I like the lavender sage one as well, but I decided to mix it up, so I’m currently trying out one from Meow Meow Tweet.
Suavecita Revitalizing & Anti-Blemish Face Masks (6-Pack)— I really enjoyed these face masks and would definitely purchase again–they feel nice on, and my skin feels soft and plump after using the aloe one, and the oxygen one seems to help with my redness.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (Travel size)– Better Than Sex was my go-to mascara for a long time, and I still really like how it looks on my lashes, but it flakes quite a bit throughout the day. I recently purchased Lily Lolo Mascara to try instead.
Returned:
Cover FX Contour Kit (N Light)–I was so excited to try this cream contour palette, but the shades were too warm/orangey on me, so I returned it. If you have any other recommendations for good contour palettes, please let me know!
Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation–I had high hopes for this foundation, but I wasn’t that impressed with it and couldn’t find a good color match for my skin, so I returned it. When you order a foundation from Charlotte Tilbury, they send you a sample size of the shade you ordered as well as one lighter and darker to try before opening the product, which is a fantastic idea because that way you can see what shade you are/not waste a full size product if it doesn’t match. All of the shades seemed a little warm for me though, and it had a pretty strong smell that bothered me.
Samples I’ve tried lately:
Becca Aqua Luminous Foundation (Porcelain)–I got a sample of this foundation from Sephora, and I liked it enough to get the full size. I may do a full post on it at some point, but I’ve been mixing it with Too Faced Born This Way for lighter/glowier coverage.
Cover FX Natural Finish Foundation (N10 & N20)–I tried this foundation last year and didn’t like it, but I thought I’d give it another go since a lot of vegan beauty bloggers like it. It was the same as before though–it looks pretty good when first applied but it separates/looks weird on my skin pretty quickly (which is kind of odd since I don’t have oily skin.)
Do you enjoy empties posts? They’re kind of weird, but I personally love reading/watching them!
