Oh buffalo cauliflower, how I love thee.
Before going vegan, buffalo wings were one of my favorite foods, and luckily I can still enjoy them without contributing to animal cruelty! There are many different types of vegan wings, but cauliflower is one of my faves because I love how it sort of has a meaty texture but is still just a vegetable, and a cruciferous one at that, so it’s super healthy too!
I used to always follow this Forks Over Knives recipe I found a while back to make buffalo cauliflower, but this time I decided to mix it up and try Chocolate Covered Katie’s recipe because her recipes are always delicious!
I used Bob’s Gluten-free flour and gluten free breadcrumbs to make it gluten free and Frank’s for my hot sauce. I didn’t have as much bread crumbs as the recipe called for, but they still came out really good.
Lucas said he was super hungry, but these may have been the best cauliflower wings I’ve made, so I’ll definitely make them again soon! We also both loved them with this ranch from The Vegan 8. (I still love my ranch recipe too–they’re both good!) And of course I had to make some oil free baked fries as well.
Have you tried buffalo cauliflower? Do you have a favorite recipe? Let me know in the comments!
I’m trying out this new series of posts about cooking and trying out various recipes–let me know if you like these/want to see more. Usually I just post photos of recipes I’ve tried to Pinterest and sometimes other social media, but I think it’d be beneficial to do blog posts for those who don’t follow me there.
