E.l.f. was the first cruelty brand I bought after going vegan because it’s so affordable and widely available. And when I saw they were having a 50% off sale recently, I had to grab some more goodies I’ve been wanting to try! I can’t believe I got all of this for $25!
When deciding what to get, I read Tashina’s recommendations and also watched Rhian’s Eye on E.l.f. video. Yay for blogger recommendations!
Here’s what I chose & why:
Illuminating Palette & Contour Palette– I bought both of these because I want to play around with highlighting/contouring but am not sure how much I will actually do it on a daily basis and didn’t want to spend a lot. With this sale I got 8 shades to try for $6! Rhian’s video on the E.l.f. palettes also got me interested, & I’ll probably reference it as I try them out.
Lip Liner & Blending Brush- I picked this one up because I’ve been wanting a nude lip liner/all over nude lip color and the pencil seems like it’ll be easy to work with.
Beautifully Bare Blending Brush– I want to try this one for bronzing & contouring.
Blush (Twinkle Pink)– Got it because it looks pretty, and I really like their Blush & Bronzing Powder (in St. Lucia).
Ultimate Blending Brush– I’ve heard great things about this brush and want to try it with liquid foundations!
Lip Exfoliator (Cherry Tart)- This just looks super nifty, and I don’t currently exfoliate my lips and probably should since I love liquid lipsticks!
Blush Brush– I got this one to use for under-eye setting powder &/or blush.
Retractable Lip Brush– I’m not great at applying liquid lipstick with doe-foot applicators, but I don’t like bringing lip brushes in my bag if they already have product on them from application because it could get messy, so this brush seems like it’ll be awesome.
HD Lifting Concealer– I re-purchased this because I’m out.
High Definition Powder– I’m wondering how this will compare to the one I currently use (Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder.)
Dramatic Lash Kit (not pictured)- I haven’t worn fake lashes in forever but want to try again because I love the way they look.
So I also totally meant to grab a Stipple Brush and must’ve accidentally taken it out of my cart (I added a bunch of stuff & narrowed it down because I didn’t want to go over $25). I have the Small Stipple Brush and like it and really wanted to get the bigger one so it’s definitely on my list for next time. I also wanted to get the HD Lifting Concealer in Brightening but they were sold out.
Some other items that were in my cart before I narrowed it down were the Blending Brush, Clear Brow & Lash Mascara, Intense Ink Eyeliner, & Matte Lip Color.
