Y’all, I’ve been meaning to cosplay Jessica from True Blood for like two years now, but here it is! Jessica Hamby cosplay! I had so much fun shooting these cosplay self portraits–I love True Blood!
PS–check out my Sookie Stackhouse cosplay from last year if you missed it, my Merlotte’s waitress costume guide, and see all of my True Blood posts here!
There are many versions of Jessica to cosplay, but I went with her Merlotte’s waitress outfit because it’s easy and recognizable.
I was especially inspired by this photo of her:

Of course I had to throw in some iconic bloody tears and vampire fangs too!

Jessica’s makeup varies, but many of her looks are fairly natural–I found an interview with Brigette Ellis (lead makeup artist for True Blood), and in it she says Deborah Ann Woll wore tinted moisturizer and lip tint.
For my look I went with a light/medium coverage foundation, a bit of peachy blush, fluttery lashes, and a sheer lipstick. All of the product details are listed below. (I also did a Jessica inspired makeup look year that was similar.)

When I was customizing the fangs and testing them out, I also shot a photo of another of Jessica’s Merlotte’s looks (the makeup was slightly different):

Which was inspired by this photo:

Who knows, I may do more Jessica cosplay in the future–there are so many fun looks I could do!
Who are your favorite characters on True Blood? I want to cosplay Pam too! Are you dressing up for Halloween this year? Let me know in the comments!
