I didn’t buy any new makeup in January or February, but damn, I made up for it this month! Here are the goodies I got and why. Of course, everything is vegan, cruelty free, and Logical Harmony approved.
M.O.T.D.
M.O.T.D. Lux Vegan Makeup Brush Set– This was the most exciting part of my haul for sure! Tashina raves about these brushes, and they’re gorgeous, so I got the lux set while everything was 50% off during M.O.T.D.’s birthday sale recently. I’ve never had a fancy full set of brushes so I have a feeling this is going to seriously up my makeup game! I also love how each brush has a cute, punny name, like Beauty and the Base, Conceal Your Secret, and Just Browsing.
Pacifica (Whole Foods)
Pacifica Natural Eye Pencil (Fringe)- I’ve been looking for a good brown pencil liner, and all Pacifica products were on sale when I was at Whole Foods so I picked this one up. I wanted to try their concealer too, but they were sold out.
Pacifica Magical Multi-pencil (Bare)- This has been on my wishlist for a while now–multiple beauty bloggers rave about it, and it looks perfect for adding some highlight to my waterline.
Pacifica Stunning Brows Eyebrow Gloss & Set (Clear)- I’ve been wanting to try a clear brow gel.
Pacifica Enlightened Gloss (Opal)- This just looked pretty!
Wet n Wild/Milani (Walmart)
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation (Rose Ivory)- I’ve heard good things about this really inexpensive drugstore foundation so I wanted to try it out for myself. I looked for it at CVS, Walgreens, and Target, and no one had it–I finally found it at Walmart.
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer (Light Ivory)- Same as above.
Milani Baked Blush (Luminoso)– I’ve heard so many bloggers say they love this blush, and I’ve wanted to try it for a while. This one was hard to find as well, none of the drugstores I tried had it, and the first Walmart I went to was sold out, but I finally found it at another Walmart.
Sonia Kashuk/e.l.f. (Target)
Sonia Kashuk Soft Focus Satin Matte Foundation (Vanilla)- I’ve wanted to try this foundation because Leticia says it’s like Born This Way but oily skin friendly. My Born This Way is finally running out, and since Too Faced is now owned by Estee Lauder, I’ve been looking for a good replacement. Side note: do you buy from cruelty free companies that are owned by parent companies that test on animals? I’m curious about other people’s stance on this.
e.l.f. Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer (Pearl)- I usually use concealer on my eyelids, but I wanted to try an actual primer, and this one was cheap so why not.
e.l.f. Matte Lip Color (Natural)- Morgan Joyce mentioned this one in her video about making your lips look bigger, so I wanted to try it. Also everything by e.l.f. is super affordable!
Colour Pop
ColourPop Lippie Stix (Button)– I got all 3 lippie stix in a search for the perfect Buffy the Vampire Slayer shade. This one is the closest of the three for sure.
ColourPop Lippie Stix (Brink)
ColourPop Lippie Stix (Topanga)
