In case you haven’t noticed, Cheryl Blossom is my favorite character on Riverdale, with her fiery red hair and unpredictable personality. Her style is seriously killer and her wardrobe is #goals, so of course I’ve done multiple Cheryl cosplay outfits. (I’ve also written two Cheryl fashion posts–check out part 1 here and part 2 here.) These looks were pretty easy for me to put together since I already had a lot of the pieces, and any I purchased specifically for the shoots are things I’ll wear anyways.
I’ve been meaning to do this post for a while now (I dressed up as Cheryl a few times around Halloween), and I have one more look I still want to do (or who are we kidding, probably more than one), so this post will probably be updated in the future or I’ll do a part 2. The look I haven’t photographed yet is the Vixens cheer outfit. Update: I’ve photographed that one now too–check it out!
I shot all of these self portraits with professional equipment at local photography studio J Squared Studios here in Austin.
Cheryl Blossom Cosplay #1: Classic Cheryl (Black turtleneck, red skirt, spider brooch)

This post contains affiliate links, meaning if you purchase through them I may make a commission at no extra cost to you which supports this site–thanks! (I bought all of these items myself because I loved them/wasn’t sent any for free.)
Black ribbed turtleneck sweater: Express, red mini skirt: Somewhere on South Congress in Austin (I can’t remember which shop), spider brooch: Hot Topic (no longer available)
This look isn’t an exact replica of any of Cheryl’s outfits, but I really like how it came out. Cheryl’s wardrobe is mostly red and black and features lots of mini skirts, sweaters, tights, and spider brooches, so I paired a black turtleneck with a red mini skirt I already had and added a spider pin and sheer black tights and voilà, Cheryl! What I love most about this outfit is that I would totally just wear it out (and have multiple times), and it’s like casual Cheryl cosplay that only Riverdale fans would pick up on.
Cheryl Blossom Cosplay #2: Becoming a Serpent (Red Serpents jacket and over the knee boots)
Red Serpents jacket: Hot Topic (they also have a plus size one), black turtleneck (same as above), black faux leather shorts: Guess (thrifted), red faux leather over the knee boots: Macy’s
This look is a replica of Cheryl’s look from Season 2 Episode 22, when she gets her red Serpents jacket (see photos of her from the episode in this post.) I was so excited when I saw Hot Topic had a red Serpents jacket, and I also found some really similar red over the knee boots and black faux leather shorts to complete the look.
Cheryl Blossom Cosplay #3: Singing with the Pussycats (Retro Night at Pop’s)
Pop’s Chock-lit Shoppe Tee: Hot Topic, Burgundy Shorts: Forever 21, Pussycat Ears: Hot Topic
I already wrote about this Cheryl outfit in my post about the Pop’s Retro Night Outfits–check it out here. I meant to get some full body shots of this look as well, but the fog machine we were using at the studio set off the fire alarm, so the shoot was cut short (oops!) Maybe next time.
