Novel Makeup Part 3: Die Softly (all vegan makeup)

I think this look is my favorite of the novel makeup series looks I’ve done so far–I love how the orange eye shadow, glitter, and lips look together with the pop of blue. Using book covers as inspiration for makeup looks has been so fun because it gives me ideas for color combinations I probably wouldn’t come up with otherwise.

I found this vintage copy of Die Softly by Christopher Pike on ebay. Y’all, I love ebay so much, I’ve found so much cool stuff there, it’s amazing for online thrifting/vintage shopping! I had a lot of Christopher Pike books in the 1990’s, but I traded them in at used book stores years ago (de-clutter regrets, am I right?) Every time I’m at a used book store lately, I check for old Christopher Pike books, but so far I’ve only found three (I don’t like the more recent versions that I see more often, I only like the nostalgic 90’s covers), so I also look out for copies on ebay.

For this look I used the orangey red shade from the E.L.F. Mad for Matte Jewel Pop Palette with Lemonhead LA Spacepaste Glitter in Commando over it. To add a pop of blue/turquoise, I applied Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Deep End (I love this liner, I’ve used it for so many looks!) under my eyes. On my lips, I used Colourpop Lippie Pencil in Chi Chi and a clear E.L.F. gloss. All of the (vegan/cruelty free) makeup I used is also listed below:
