FOOD (Vegan & Gluten Free Recipes)
One of my favorite recipes this month was this vegan/gluten free green bean casserole I made–it’s tastes just like the kind I used to have growing up but veganized!
Another simple healthy recipe I enjoyed was this Roasted Sweet Potato and Chickpea Salad from Minimalist Baker. (If you haven’t noticed, I love all of her recipes!) Reminder: Follow me on Pinterest to see the recipes I make!
A baking thing I loved this month was Enjoy Life Vegan & Gluten Free Muffin Mix–I used it to make chocolate chip muffins, and they were super easy and delicious!
FOOD (Restaurants)
I wrote a whole post about why I love Li’l Nonna’s recently, so it’s obviously a favorite–check it out!
Another one of the best meals I had while out to eat this month was this tofu puffy taco plate (ask for no cheese) from Vivo. I’m always looking for good omni restaurants with vegan or veganizable options for when my Dad is in town, and I found Vivo in Lazy Smurf’s Austin Vegan Friendly Guide, and I’m glad I did because and the puffy tacos were delicious! My Dad and sister loved the (non-vegan) enchiladas they ordered as well.
TV/Movies
This month I got into Mr. Robot, and it’s really interesting and unpredictable. It’s an intense show, and honestly some of the episodes are pretty hard to watch, but when it’s good it makes up for it. Let me know if you watch it because I have theories!
Another one of my favorite shows this month was The Punisher–it’s my favorite of all the Marvel shows so far. It’s full of suspense, Jon Bernthal’s acting is incredible, and I was so invested in the characters and the story the whole time. I may or may not have a crush on most of the cast as well.
Two horror movies I watched and loved this month were The Babysitter and Devil’s Candy on Netflix–both were Spooky Vegan recommendations, which never disappoint! As The Spooky Vegan and others have said, the Babysitter has a Home Alone style horror film vibe–it was so fun to watch! The Devil’s Candy was creepy and really good as well.
YouTube
I found Glam & Gore on Youtube this month and love Mykie’s twisted Disney character videos and tutorials like the Hooked Little Mermaid and Shattered Cinderella–they’re so gross and awesome!
