Curcuma is an all vegan and gluten free food trailer in Austin that specializes in golden mylk drinks and healthy organic eats. My friend America has been telling me that I need to try their tacos for quite a while now, so I finally did recently, and they’re delicious!
I’m not raw and besides salads and smoothies, I don’t usually eat a lot of raw meals, but these tacos were legit! The flavor of the pecan taco meat with the crunchy raw jicama tortillas was spot on, and it was nice eating a cool meal on a hot Texas day…that still involved tacos!
I also tried their iced golden mylk latte, which was really good as well–I’m constantly looking for new ways to get in some daily turmeric because it has a lot of health benefits and is on Dr. Greger’s Daily Dozen list of foods to eat every day. (If you don’t know about the daily dozen and are interested, check out this book.)
I think the whole concept of Curcuma is great, and I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other golden drinks and more of their food as well (I should’ve gotten a dessert!) If you like healthy plant based food, you should check it out if you haven’t already.
It’s always fun when an omnivore friend wants to go to a vegan place (and in this case even suggested it!) Have you tried Curcuma? What’s your favorite thing there? Let me know in the comments!
